JOHN'S FULHAM WEBSITE

CHAMPIONS CHAMPIONS CHAMPIONS BOA MORTE SIGNS DEAL
Fulham Football Club has today announced that, after agreeing personal terms, Luis Boa Morte has signed a 4-year deal with the Club.

The 23-year-old forward, whose previous clubs include Arsenal and Sporting Lisbon, had been on loan to Fulham from Southampton, for the majority of the Club’s Championship winning season.

The popular striker won the supporters’ hearts with a series of thrilling performances, which netted him 21 goals from 27 starts last season. His efforts for the club did not go unnoticed at International level as he also broke into the Portuguese first team.

Speaking to the Official Fulham website Boa Morte said:

“I am really happy to have signed with Fulham for the next four years and that we will be playing in the Premiership. It is a great opportunity for me and for the team and I am looking forward to it very much.”

Managing Director Michael Fiddy further added:

“We are delighted to have agreed a deal with Luis for the next 4 years. As a formidable part of the strike-force, the player showed great skill and commitment on the pitch last season and we look forward to his continued dedication in the Premiership.”

RIISE DEAL ALMOST NOT COMPLETED YET
Despite payment complications John Arne Riise's transfer to Fulham seems back on with his agent claiming a solution will be reached.
The proposed deal has been held up this week by the revelation that Riise's former club Aalesund are eligible for 25 per cent of the eventual transfer fee when he moves on from Monaco.
Monaco, unhappy with this clause, held up the negotiations but according to Riise's agent, Einar Baardsen, the deal is still very much on. Baardsen said that he spoke twice with Fulham on Wednesday and revealed that all sides are getting closer to a solution.
Baardsen added that Riise should undergo a medical in the next few days with the intention of finally signing on the dotted line on Monday.
Aalesund sent a representative to Fulham on Tuesday in a bid to clarify their stance and according to Baardsen they are satisfied with the results of their talks. It appears that the Norwegian side have agreed to accept their payment in instalments rather than a lump sum. The ball is now in Fulham's court added the agent.
